Homecoming

Homecoming....a time when a certain group of people come back together after a long time apart. Homecoming in a small town is an exciting week! Yards being rolled, Homes and Businesses "Paint the Town Purple", old friends, football games, reunions, Parades...complete with a Gopher. Yes...good times are to be had this Homecoming week in my small town. This year however, Homecoming has become a time of Reflection. A time to look back in my life and remember when I was still young. Remember the friends that I had in High School and wonder whatever became of them. Remember the many, many times we rolled yards, oreo'd cars, stayed out too late and laughed ourselves silly. Football games and first dates.....Wow....it's been 24 years ! Thankfully, those 24 years have been good ones and I'm still friends with many of my High School buddies. We still talk about the crazy things we did and ask each other "Do you remember when?"

Starting a Blog

Okay....so I've been inspired to start a blog. Like I need one more thing to add to my plate right now, but I feel the need to express myself for some reason....so here it goes.

I'm simple....and I'm complicated. I guess that makes me simply complicated. I'm a weird artsy kind of person, that's been placed in a strangely normal life. I've been blessed beyond measure with a husband and two boys that I love more than I can comprehend at times. Running here, there and everywhere is the norm right now. I become completely scatterbrained when my life is like this and that drives me nuts. I used to pride myself on my memory and my perfectionism.....when I became a Mom, those two attributes have slowly but surely left me and have been replace by forgetfulness and disorganization. So, I write this blog so I can laugh at myself later, and hopefully be reminded of some of the sweetness in my life.
